The IACP seeks to hire an enthusiastic, mission-driven and experienced Membership/Customer Service Professional who will thrive in a challenging and dynamic work environment. This position will play a key role in building and conveying the value of IACP to our members and prospective members; maintaining membership records; identifying and cultivating new members; and assisting with our conference registration services.
Job Responsibilities
- Responsible for supporting the daily operations of the Registration/Membership Team.
- Provide advance and onsite support for registration services for Annual Conference and Midsized Meetings.
- Handle questions, information requests, and issues regarding registration.
- Processes conference registrations, maintaining and updating records to ensure accuracy.
- Develop and run reports through the association’s AMS and registration systems.
- Coordinate billing and invoicing of Annual Conference and Midsized Meeting registrations.
- Coordinate with internal teams to collect data needed for registration to include badges, confirmations, post-conference uploads, virtual registrations, and transferring of data into other platforms.
- Coordinate with the accounting team to track payments and refunds.
- Assist with and review of marketing pieces that drive membership and conference attendance.
- Assist with the development and testing of registration systems.
- Assist with the marketing and coordination of IACPreferred, IACP’s member benefit discount program.
- Assist with processing membership applications and renewals; assist with membership customer service.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and Two (2) years of job-related experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and other relevant business software.
- Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Solid analytical skills to include ability to troubleshoot problems from multiple perspectives.
- Effective task prioritization and time management skills.
- Solid writing, editing, and communication skills.
- Effective collaboration and teamwork skills.
- Strong familiarity and understanding membership and registration databases (Nimble/Salesforce; Maritz/Experient a plus).
- Experience functioning in a program support role is preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a non-profit organization, association, or criminal justice environment.
- Familiarity with and understanding of project-relevant issues and policing.
- Experience with, and ability to plan events and make logistical arrangements for individuals and groups.
Special Conditions and Work Environment
- Travel will be required based on job responsibilities.
- Work takes place primarily in an office environment.
- Light lifting, bending, and reaching may be required.
- This is a grant-funded position for which continuation funding will be sought.
