Description

This position is assigned to East Jefferson Levee District Police Department and is responsible for overseeing all police functions and training and administrative functions for the East Bank Levee Police Department. The incumbent must be POST certified, providing direct supervision to 4 POST certified Police Lieutenants, 4 POST certified Police Sergeants and 16 POST certified Police Officers. The incumbent acts as the Flood Protection Authority Police Commander under the direct supervision of the Superintendent of Police Southeast Louisiana Flood Protection Authority-East (SLFPA-E). The incumbent is on-call 24/7 and is required to respond to emergency situations.

Requirements

Must have five years of experience in law enforcement work.

Bachelor's degree and at least one year of work experience as a police lieutenant preferred.
