Company Profile
City of Green Bay
Company Overview
The City of Green Bay is known world-wide for the Green Bay Packers, but we are more than that! We are the 3rd largest city in the State of Wisconsin and hold the distinction of being the earliest settlement in Wisconsin by Europeans in 1634, just 13 years after the Pilgrims landed on Plymouth Rock! We cover 44.4 square miles on the bay of Green Bay/Lake Michigan and boast an excellent road system which connects us quickly to the major cities of Milwaukee, Chicago, and Minneapolis. Both our port and airport have an international status.
We relish our four traditional seasons, each bringing its own celebration. (Without the mud slides, wild fires, hurricanes or tornado alley.) Each season is marked with festivals such as Artstreet, International Bayfest and Kids Day. The prevailing summer wind is from the southwest, bringing in the warm breezes from Mexico with a median temperature of 70 degrees. The winter season temperature average of 15 degrees and is welcomed by snowmobilers and snow skiers, both downhill and cross county.
We are an entrepreneurial and industrious people dedicated to family, faith and our community. Our work ethic is the best in the nation.
Green Bay, called la Baie Verte by the French who first settled here, is located in Wisconsin at the mouth of the Fox River as it empties into the bay of Green Bay.
