Company Overview
The City of Raymore is “Dedicated to being a quality community in which to live work and play” and just one visit to the area will reveal its beauty and peacefulness. The City of Raymore is located in northeastern Cass County and is part of the Kansas City metropolitan area. The City is almost 20 square miles in area and located approximately 23 miles south of Downtown Kansas City in the west central part of the state. Raymore is one of the fastest growing communities in the area and is consistently ranked among the top communities for new residential construction. The current census data estimates the City population at 19,206, an increase of over 70% in the last ten years!
The City of Raymore has seven park areas in excess of 285 acres and future development plans provide over 190 acres of additional green space areas for parks and trails for residents to utilize and enjoy. Last year, approximately 10,270 citizens participated in twelve events and a variety of recreational programming activities. The City does not have a Community Center or aquatic facilities at this time. The Parks and Recreation operating budget for the 2011-12 fiscal year is $1,045,139.00.
