The town of Madison Police Department is a full service police department with 15 full-time sworn officers and 2 part-time officers. The department has 2 full-time civilian positions. Effective May 2013 our personnel will consist of:
1 Police Chief
1 Administrative Sgt. (responsible for 6 full-time, 2 part-time employees)
1 Patrol Sgt. (responsible for 5 full time employees, 1 part-time employee)
1 Detective
1 Rotating Detective
1 Part-time detective
10 Patrol officers
2 Police Clerks

The town of Madison is an urban township located in Dane County, WI and mostly situation on the south side of the city of Madison. We have a population of approximately 6,100 residents and a 2013budget of $1,988,632 with an additional $40,000 in capital equipment.
